“You don’t throw a whole life away just because it’s banged up a little.” ~ Seabiscuit
The name “Second Chance Farm” about says it all. We offer rescue, rehabilitation & retirement services to animals of all breeds, species, ages, health status and behavioral background. We cater to special needs and geriatric critters and provide excellent quality care to each and every animal in our program. We also provide specialized and compassionate end of life care for our many elderly and chronically ill resident animals.

“A hundred years from now, it will not matter the sort of house I lived in, what my bank account was, or the car I drove….but the world may be different because I was important in the life of the animals and the creatures on this earth.” – Author Unknown
Second Chance Rescue & Re-Homing – Some of the animals in our program come to us healthy from the start. However, most require medical and/or surgical attention for treatable conditions before they go up for adoption. Our goal is to give these deserving critters a second chance at finding a loving and permanent home. Prior to finding their forever homes, all of our adoptable animals are on monthly flea & heartworm prevention, are spayed or neutered, examined by a veterinarian, are up to date on vaccinations and are tested for common infectious diseases (ie. canine heartworm disease, FeLV, FIV, GI parasites). We strive to promote responsible pet ownership through education and by setting a good example. Anyone interested in adopting a pet from Second Chance Farm will be asked to complete an application. This allows us to better ensure that the animal of interest is exactly what you’re looking for … and vice versa.
Rehabilitation & Retirement - Animals that are not considered “adoptable” (due to advanced age, medical conditions or behavioral challenges) stay at Second Chance Farm indefinitely – where they receive love, safety and all necessary medical care for the rest of their lives. Our sanctuary serves as home to animals of all species and we strive to provide each individual with an excellent “home-style” retirement environment. We cater to special needs, elderly and behaviorally challenges critters – which can be challenging at times – but we feel it’s a very important aspect of rescue work. In addition to proving a comfortable and fulfilling retirement, we also specialize in providing excellent quality end of life care. Our geriatric residents receive very personal and individualized care in their final weeks, days, hours and minutes. We help them not only to have a peaceful, loved and happy retirement but also to pass on with dignity, respect and comfort.
