About Us

“You don’t throw a whole life away just because it’s banged up a little.” ~ Seabiscuit

The name “Second Chance Farm” about says it all. We offer rescue, rehabilitation & lifelong retirement services to animals of all breeds, species, ages, health status and behavioral background.

“A hundred years from now, it will not matter the sort of house I lived in, what my bank account was, or the car I drove….but the world may be different because I was important in the life of the animals and the creatures on this earth.” – Author Unknown

aboutscf1 Our sanctuary farm serves as a permanent home to animals of all species and we strive to provide each individual with an excellent, “home-style” rescue environment. Since animals come here to stay … we do our very best to treat them as members of our family. We cater to special needs, elderly and behaviorally difficult critters – which can be very challenging at times – but we feel it’s a very important aspect of rescue work. Animals who find themselves having no place to go because they are too old, too ill, or too troubled … find a home at Second Chance Farm.

There are, unfortunately, many good-byes along the way and in addition to proving a comfortable and fulfilling life for our animals, we also strive to provide excellent quality, peaceful and compassionate end-of-life care. All of our residents receive very personal and individualized care in their final weeks, days, hours and minutes. We help them not only to have a peaceful, loved and happy “retirement” but also to pass on with dignity, respect and comfort.
