BJ was the second member of Second Chance Farm (prior to us even becoming an official non-profit orgnization.) River, an older Thoroughbred gelding was the very first “member” of Second Chance Farm (long before Second Chance Farm became an official organization). He was a spunky, friendly, handsome guy who had been retired from racing due to a career ending injury. He was not considered “show quality” and therefore was supposed to be euthanized. [...]
